Alexander Hendry is a Partner and the Head of Baker Botts' Technology practice in the Middle East. He has a global practice, providing strategic advice to clients around the world on business-critical, first-of-their-kind technology transactions, and the negotiation and drafting of complex contracts relating to technology, IP, and data.
Renowned for his involvement in some of the world's largest, most significant, and most pioneering technology deals, Alexander has gained recognition as a "Rising Star" and a "Key Lawyer" for Technology, Media, and Telecoms (TMT) by The Legal 500 EMEA (2023).
Alexander has a particular focus on transactions relating to highly disruptive technologies, including: AI; space and satellites; digital infrastructure; fintech; energy tech; medtech and healthtech; aerospace and defense tech; enterprise IT; and digital transformation.
Alexander's experience includes: technology agreements; IP licensing; M&A; joint ventures and collaborations; outsourcing; entertainment, sports, and media contracts; commercial contracts; and technology and data regulatory compliance.
Alexander holds an APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (APM PFQ) from the Association for Project Management and has completed CodeClan's "Coding for Professionals" course.
