HOUSTON, May 18, 2026 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, represented CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (“CenterPoint”) (NYSE: CNP) as it entered into an Equity Distribution Agreement with sixteen financial institutions and their affiliates or agents in connection with the commencement of a new at-the-market (“ATM”) offering program. Under the program, CenterPoint may offer and sell from time to time shares of its common stock having an aggregate gross sales price of up to $1 billion through the managers or pursuant to forward sale agreements. 

The 2026 ATM program replaces CenterPoint’s previous $500 million ATM program established in 2024. CenterPoint intends to use the net proceeds from any sales of common stock for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, the capital expenditure programs of its operating subsidiaries and the repayment of borrowings under its commercial paper program.
