The GAR 30 ranks 30 leading international arbitration practices, evaluating firms on the scale, complexity, and significance of their cases, as well as market feedback and performance in high-value disputes. The firm's inclusion reflects excellence in some of the world's most consequential arbitrations.
Baker Botts' International Disputes team advises clients across the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors, including sovereign states, state-owned entities, and multinational corporations. Co-headed by Dr Johannes Koepp in London and Andrew Behrman in New York, with significant teams across the US, Europe, and Asia, the team regularly handles disputes involving complex jurisdictional, regulatory, or contractual issues, with particular strength in investor-state arbitration and high-value commercial matters. The team brings particular expertise in complex energy arbitrations — including LNG disputes — and acts on behalf of both investors and states in investor-state proceedings.
