LONDON, October 15, 2026 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, earned seven practice area rankings and 14 individual lawyer rankings in the Chambers UK 2027 guide, a year-on-year increase of more than 55% in individual lawyer rankings. The results include a promotion to Band 1 in Energy & Natural Resources: Oil & Gas, a new ranking in Projects: Mainly International and three Band 1 individual lawyer rankings. 

The move into Chambers’ highest band for oil and gas, together with the new international projects ranking, underscores the strength of the firm’s UK practice across complex energy transactions, project development and financing. The guide commends Baker Botts’ depth in LNG and international oil and gas matters, noting its combination of sector-specific knowledge and understanding of the commercial drivers behind projects. 

The breadth of Baker Botts’ UK practice is recognised with rankings in International Arbitration: Commercial Arbitration, International Arbitration: Investor-State Arbitration, Public International Law, Sanctions and Telecommunications. These results span the firm’s work on commercial and investment treaty disputes, cross-border sanctions compliance and digital infrastructure transactions.
