Griffin Tolle helps clients with a broad range of intellectual property related matters, with an emphasis on complex patent litigation in U.S. district courts. Griffin has experience in all phases of litigation, including involvement with patent jury trials on both the plaintiff and defense sides, oral argument of evidentiary issues at trial, nightly exchanges of trial materials and related conferences, pre-trial disclosures, pre-trial and post-trial motion practice, fact and expert discovery, fact and expert witness depositions, infringement and invalidity analyses, and damages analyses. Griffin’s litigation experience has involved a wide variety of technologies, including technologies relating to wireless telecommunications and related equipment, computer network environments, content streaming, insurance and annuity policy administration systems, and directional drilling guidance systems.
Griffin also has experience working with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including challenging and defending patents in inter partes review (IPR) and post grant review (PGR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and he has experience preparing requests for ex parte reexamination (EPR). Griffin also has patent prosecution experience involving a variety of technologies including AI-based FOD detection, aerodynamic aircraft configurations, and assemblies for aerial spraying aircrafts.
Griffin also engages in pro bono matters, which includes volunteering at general and housing-specific clinics in the DFW area.
Prior to law school, Griffin was a member catcher on the University of Alabama’s D1 baseball team, where he also earned a degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics.
