Overview

Jeremy Gott is the Firmwide Chair of Baker Botts' Real Estate & Construction Practice and a trusted advisor to developers, investors, owners, and institutional capital providers on complex, high-value real estate transactions across the United States. With more than two decades of experience, he advises clients throughout the real estate lifecycle, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, developments, and operations involving mixed-use, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, and master-planned projects.

Jeremy is particularly known for structuring and negotiating sophisticated joint ventures, development platforms, construction financings, and strategic investment transactions involving significant capital commitments and multiple stakeholders. Leveraging deep market knowledge and a practical, business-focused approach, he helps clients navigate complex transactions, manage risk, and execute some of the industry's most significant real estate developments.

Jeremy also serves as the Hiring Partner for Baker Botts' Dallas office.

  • Representation of Dallas-based global real estate investor in a joint venture with an institutional investor with respect to the development and leasing of a global investment bank’s new Dallas, TX office campus and related construction financing
  • Representation of Dallas-based global real estate investor in its lead investment in and the development of an estimated $10 billion mixed use project on approximately 1,700 acres in Frisco, Texas
  • Representation of the developer in a multi-tier joint venture with certain private individuals and other equity sources with respect to the master development and vertical development of an approximately 200-acre site in San Diego, California
  • Representation of a specialty finance company focused on the automotive industry in obtaining a $100 million revolving debt facility for the development of multiple automotive showrooms and service centers across the United States
  • Representation of the developer in the negotiation of a ground lease from the State of Texas for a marquee site in downtown Austin, Texas
  • Representation of the developer and borrower in the major securitized FASB refinancing of a trophy office tower in downtown Chicago, Illinois
