Nadine Amr is a partner with the Global Projects practice, based in the firm's London office. She advises clients on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and project development across the energy sector globally.

Nadine has been ranked as "Up and Coming" in Chambers Global (2024-2025), and is described in Chambers UK (2026) as "a complete professional" who is "very strong in all areas."

Nadine is active in the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) and was one of the drafters of the AIEN's 2023 Model International Joint Operating Agreement, which updates and supplements one of the most widely used model form JOAs in the international upstream oil and gas industry.

Experience

  • Equinor (formerly Statoil) on the sale of its Nigerian subsidiary, including its share in the giant Agbami oil field (Nigeria’s largest deep-water field), to Chappal Energies for a total value of up to $1.2 billion, including a purchase price of $710 million and additional contingent payments. The landmark deal marked Equinor’s complete exit from Nigeria*
  • Woodside Energy Group Ltd in its merger with BHP Petroleum with an approximately US $43 billion merged entity value and concurrent listing of American Depositary Shares (ADSs) on the NYSE*
  • Bapco Energies in relation to a landmark concession and joint venture arrangement with EOG Resources – the first concession granted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in over a century*
  • Funds managed by Apollo in the $2 billion sale by New Fortress Energy Inc. of 11 LNG infrastructure vessels to a newly formed venture owned approximately 80% by Apollo funds and 20% by NFE*
  • Hygo Energy Transition in its $5 billion merger with New Fortress Energy*
  • Equinor (formerly Statoil) in its successfully completed $2.9 billion acquisition from Petrobras of a 25 per cent interest in the Roncador field, located in the Campos Basin in Brazil. The purchase price consists of an initial payment of $2.35 billion, plus additional contingent payments of up to $550 million*
  • Africa Oil Corp. on the successfully completed $1.4 billion acquisition of a 50% ownership interest in Petrobras Oil and Gas B.V., which owns interests in two of Africa’s largest producing oil & gas assets, located offshore Nigeria*
  • Equinor (formerly Statoil) in the $2.5‎ billion acquisition from Petrobras of a 66 per cent interest (and operatorship) in the Bacalhau (formerly Carcara) field in block BM-S-8 offshore Brazil*
  • ShaMaran Petroleum Corp. on the signed acquisition of 100% of the shares of TEPKRI Sarsang A/S, the holder of an 18% participating interest in the Sarsang Block located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, from TotalEnergies for a potential total value of $170 million*
  • Woodside on its approximately $430 million acquisition of the assets of ConocoPhillips in Senegal*
  • Africa Oil Corp. on the successfully completed acquisition by Maersk Oil & Gas A/S of 50% of Africa Oil Corp’s interests in upstream oil and gas blocks located in Kenya, and in the Rift Basin and South Omo in Ethiopia, for an aggregate consideration of up to $845 million; Named Oil & Gas Council’s African Deal of the Year 2015*
