DALLAS, September 15, 2026 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, represented BKV Corporation (NYSE: BKV) on its acquisition of certain Barnett Shale upstream, midstream and CCS assets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquired assets include upstream production, midstream infrastructure, and a carbon capture and sequestration project. The upstream assets comprise approximately 117,000 net acres, approximately 1,000 gross operated wells, and approximately 70 million cubic feet equivalent per day of production.

The acquisition expands BKV’s existing operations in the Barnett Shale and adds approximately 0.35 trillion cubic feet equivalent of proved developed producing reserves. The assets also include a gas processing plant, gas and water gathering systems, two saltwater disposal wells and carbon capture infrastructure consisting of a carbon dioxide pipeline and injection well.

Baker Botts has advised BKV on several transactions supporting the company’s growth across natural gas production, power generation and the capital markets, including its acquisition of Bedrock Production, its agreement to acquire majority control of a Texas power generation joint venture, and public offerings.
