Bruehs in Washington, D.C.

Bruehs is a veteran patent practitioner with more than 25 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, and medical devices. His practice encompasses patent portfolio development, freedom-to-operate analysis, licensing, validity and infringement opinions, patent litigation and post-grant proceedings, and integrated IP strategy for emerging and established life sciences companies around the globe.

He joins the firm from Sheppard Mullin, where he served as a partner and Head of the East Coast Chemical Patent Practice. The addition strengthens Baker Botts' life sciences award-winning IP practice at a time when pharmaceutical and biotech companies increasingly need integrated counsel spanning patent prosecution, regulatory strategy, and IP litigation.
