Annual Associate Evaluation Process
The annual associate evaluation process is a robust, multi-stage process designed to gather feedback from a variety of sources to gain a wholistic view of each associate's performance. The Associate Attributes Model is incorporated into all aspects of this process to define expectations at each level and provide associates and their supervising lawyers with a standard framework from which core attributes, professional skills, and interpersonal skills can be assessed.
Our goals for the annual associate evaluation process are to:
- Provide associates with an opportunity to reflect on their performance over the past year and apprise their supervising lawyers of their goals and accomplishments
- Gather an accurate and candid assessment of associate performance, productivity, strengths, and areas for development through detailed interviews with supervising lawyers
- Engage in a developmental dialogue with associates about their performance, as well as career planning and goal-setting for the future
