Frank X. Schoen is an infrastructure finance partner in the Global Projects Department. Frank advises clients on project finance, structured finance and other complex finance transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, primarily in North America.
Frank represents corporate sponsors, project developers, private equity sponsors and portfolio companies, as well as lenders and financing sources, including infrastructure funds, private credit investors, commercial banks and investment banks.
He has broad infrastructure finance experience across the full lifecycle of projects and other assets, spanning project finance, term loan B finance, structured finance, back-leverage finance, asset finance, construction finance, acquisition finance, special situations finance and financial restructurings.
Frank represents clients on transactions across many industry sectors, including conventional power, renewable energy, energy transition, digital infrastructure, midstream and downstream oil & gas, and transportation.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Frank practiced in New York at leading law firms. Earlier in his career, he served as in-house counsel at a leading renewable energy company, where he focused on the development, construction, financing and sale of utility-scale renewable energy projects in North America.
