Danisa Naidoo is an Associate in the Global Projects group in the firm's Dubai office.

Danisa has extensive experience advising borrowers, project sponsors and lenders across a wide range of energy and infrastructure projects in Africa, Europe and the Middle East, including renewables, waste-to-energy, and social infrastructure projects.

Experience

  • Advising a consortium of construction contractors as project sponsors and preferred bidders in relation to a Qatar Schools PPP Package project led by the Ministry of Education and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal). The project—governed by Qatari PPP law—is to design, build, operate, and transfer 14 new schools.*
  • Advising a consortium of Sponsors in relation to the development of a 1.1 GW solar photovoltaic independent power project located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.*
  • Advising a syndicate of lenders in relation to the Ar Rass 2 (2GW), Al Kahfah (1.4GW) and Saad 2 (1.125GW) solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.*
  • Advising a syndicate of lenders in relation to the Haden (2GW), Muwayh (2GW) and Al Khushaybi (1.5GW) solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.*
  • Advising Amazon Web Services in respect of its power purchase agreement (PPA) and various wheeling and financing arrangements as part of the project.*
  • Advising the lender(s) in relation to a portfolio financing in respect of certain solar and refrigeration assets (all of the solar assets are on a private wire basis).*
  • Advising SolarAfrica Energy in relation to a 100MW solar project in the Northern Cape, South Africa.*
