John Lawrence represents public and private companies and their officers and directors in complex civil trials and government investigations across the country. His practice focuses in the areas of securities, fiduciary duty, shareholder action, fraud, trade secret, and other high stakes commercial litigation. He also regularly advises clients on these issues and related corporate governance concerns outside of litigation, in connection with their regular conduct and strategic transactions. Legal 500 has recognized John in the field of Securities Litigation as “intelligent” and “methodical.”
He is also a leader in the Dallas community, serving on a number of local arts and philanthropic boards. He is the former President of the Advisory Board of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Dallas' world-renowned public arts high school, and continues to serve on its Executive Committee. He is a member of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’s Tocqueville Society, and previously Previously, sat on the Steering Committee of the United Way Young Leaders Society. John also serves on the Board of Directors of Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas.
