Overview

Charlie Gili focuses his practice on corporate transactions and has represented public and private companies across a range of general corporate and complex transactional matters including cross-border mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Charlie also advises web3 companies regarding corporate governance DAO formation. Charlie has experience in advisory roles for special committees and in advising significant shareholders on contested engagements.

Charlie's recent digital infrastructure experience includes advising on the Manta transaction for Liberty Networks, supporting in particular on negotiations and drafting of the Joint Build and Sales Agreement.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Charlie worked as a Principal Field Supervisor with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.

  • Majority shareholders in JV for the construction and operation of cross-continental subsea fibre cable system
  • Liberty Latin America in the sale of approximately 1,300 telecommunications towers across Panama, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Barbados and the British Virgin Islands to Phoenix Tower International
  • Liberty Latin America in the combination of its Chilean operations into a joint venture
  • Liberty Latin America, in its acquisition of América Móvil S.A.B. de C.V.’s operations in Panama
  • Advising on pending international deployment of backhaul and activation of IRU capacities
  • HC Minerals, in its recent sale of assets including multiple proppant plants
