Overview

Lori Ding focuses her practice on patent and appellate litigation. She has represented clients in U.S. district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and in arbitration. Lori has experience across a wide range of technology areas, including telecommunications, data processing, data transmission, memory devices, software, and oil and gas.

Lori has a significant appellate practice before the Federal Circuit, handling over 50 appeals. Before joining Baker Botts, Lori clerked for the Honorable Richard G. Taranto of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Beyond litigation, Lori counsels clients on IP topics related to corporate and technology transactions, including conducting due diligence, advising on IP ownership and transfer issues, and drafting IP and technology agreements.

Lori is committed to pro bono legal services, with a focus on immigration and asylum representation, and has successfully obtained relief for clients fleeing persecution in their home countries.
