Overview

Joza Al Rasheed is a Corporate (M&A) and Capital Markets lawyer and has extensive experience in complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, capital markets, restructuring, and corporate governance, with a distinguished track record across the oil and gas, energy transition, mining, and technology sectors. Prior to joining the firm, she started her career in private practice where she worked between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with a main focus on the Kingdom. She then moved to an in-house role and worked as Senior Legal Counsel for Air Products, a U.S. listed company and partner in the NEOM green ammonia megaproject for the supply of carbon-free hydrogen to global markets.

She is a New York and Saudi Arabian qualified lawyer. Her distinctive experience, as both in-house and outside counsel, allows her to effectively tailor her advice to efficiently meet the business objectives of her clients.

Joza was awarded "Lawyer of the Year" at the prestigious Legal Community MENA Awards 2025, having been recognized for her experience in high-stakes M&A and capital markets transactions across the Kingdom's energy-transition, oil & gas, mining, and technology sectors. She was previously recognised as "Lawyer of the Year - Energy" at the Legal Community MENA Awards 2024.

Joza is highly sought after for her depth and breadth of the Saudi market. Joza has a profound understanding of the Saudi law and government projects and has worked on many innovative and market first-of-its-kind projects.

She is also a Board member of the Georgetown University MENA Law Alumni Advisory Board and Board member of CATRION (formerly known as Saudi Airlines Catering Co.). She has also been recently appointed as a Delegate to the ICC Saudi National Committee.

  • Air Products Qudra (APQ) in relation to the sale of a 50% interest in Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (BHIG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of APQ to Saudi Aramco.*
  • Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) in relation to a joint venture with Retal Urban Development Company to develop land in Saudi Arabia to build a commercial mall to support the business and growth of SAR’s strategy.*
  • Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) in relation to the formation of a joint venture in the recycling sector.*
  • Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) on the formation of a 50:50 joint ventures with Barrick Gold to explore the Jabal Sayid exploration blocks.*
  • Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) on the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with Barrick Gold to explore the Um Ad Damar exploration blocks.*
  • Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) in relation to its Share Purchase of 9.9% interest in Ivanhoe Electric (Ma'aden's first international share acquisition which is on the NYSE), coupled with the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with Ivanhoe Electric to explore 48,500 sq km of land across Saudi Arabia.*
  • A Saudi industrial investment company in relation to its proposed joint venture to establish a limited liability company providing best-in-class casting and forging technologies and related services.*
  • Saudi Aramco in relation to its US$69 billion acquisition of a 70% equity interest in SABIC and providing onsite legal assistance in Dhahran to Saudi Aramco integration planning team with SABIC that includes advising on antitrust matters, specifically gun jumping, and conducting on-site antitrust training.*
  • Saudi Aramco on its SAR 96.0 billion/US$25.6 billion Initial Public Offering (IPO), including due diligence reviews, drafting sections of the prospectus, and advising on Saudi corporate, governance, and environmental matters.*
  • Air Products in relation to negotiating EPC, service and commercial contracts and ensuring compliance with its terms across the Middle East.*
  • Air Products in relation to a cross-border merger and acquisition transaction and negotiating and providing legal support to all other functions (Finance, HR, Real Estate, Safety, Sales, Procurement), advising on the structure of the deal and integration plan post-close.*
  • Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) one of the largest advertising companies listed on the Saudi stock Exchange (Tadawul) in relation to a corporate restructuring in preparation of an Initial Public Offering (IPO).*
