Baker Botts Represents Underwriters in Enbridge’s CDN$3 Billion Common Equity Offering
HOUSTON, September 14, 2026 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, represented the underwriters in Enbridge Inc.’s (TSX: ENB) (NYSE: ENB) public offering of common shares for gross proceeds of approximately CDN$3 billion.
Enbridge issued 44,735,000 common shares, including 5,835,000 shares issued after the underwriters exercised their over-allotment option in full. RBC Capital Markets and CIBC Capital Markets led the underwriting syndicate, which also included Scotiabank, BMO Capital Markets, TD Securities Inc. and National Bank of Canada Capital Markets as joint bookrunners.
Enbridge intends to use the net proceeds to partially fund announced acquisitions and potential future growth opportunities. The company may temporarily use a portion of the proceeds to reduce indebtedness or invest in short-term liquid investments.
