August 11, 2026 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, earned top-five rankings in all four capital markets categories published by The Texas Lawbook for the first half of 2026 and placed three partners among the publication’s top 25 Texas-related M&A lawyers by deal value.

Baker Botts ranked No. 3 by number of Texas-led capital markets deals, No. 4 by value of Texas-led deals, No. 4 by volume of Texas-related deals and No. 5 by value of Texas-related deals. Baker Botts was one of only two firms to rank among the top five in all four categories.

The firm advised on 26 Texas-led capital markets transactions valued at $18.515 billion and 28 Texas-related transactions valued at $18.845 billion during the first half of the year. The Texas-led rankings measure transactions led by lawyers in Texas, while the Texas-related rankings include the broader set of transactions involving Texas lawyers.

In separate M&A rankings, partners David Jetter, Samantha Crispin and Sarah Dodson placed among the top 25 lawyers by Texas-related deal value. Baker Botts was one of only four firms with three lawyers in the top 25.
