Baker Botts Represents Cleco Power LLC in $350 Million Private Offering of Unsecured Senior Notes
HOUSTON, November 20, 2025 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, represented Cleco Power LLC (“Cleco Power”) in its $350 million private offering of unsecured senior notes.
Cleco Power priced $350 million aggregate principal amount of 5.300% Senior Notes due 2036. The offering was made to eligible purchasers pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The notes will mature on Jan. 15, 2036. The offering priced on Nov. 18, 2025, and is expected to close on or about Nov. 21, 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
Cleco Power intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general limited liability company purposes, including the repayment of borrowings under its revolving credit facility.
Cleco Power is a regulated electric utility company that, as of Dec. 31, 2024, owns eight generating units with a total rated capacity of 2,676 MW and serves approximately 295,000 customers in Louisiana through its retail business and supplies wholesale power in Louisiana.
