DALLAS, October 30, 2023 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology and life sciences law firm, announced today that Dallas partner Luke Weedon has been elected President of the American College of Investment Counsel (ACIC). He previously served as Vice President, Treasurer and as a Board Member of the College.

Mr. Weedon is the Partner-in-Charge of Baker Botts’ Dallas office and is the firm’s Finance Section Chair. He represents institutional investors in transactions involving senior secured and unsecured note offerings, mezzanine investments and other forms of junior capital.  His practice also involves representing private credit lenders and borrowers in connection with working capital facilities, acquisition financings, bridge loans, asset-based loans, first lien/second lien financings, letter of credit facilities and project financings. Mr. Weedon also represents issuers and underwriters in secured and unsecured high-yield debt offerings, including liability management transactions.
