HOUSTON, February 22, 2022 – Baker Botts, L.L.P. a leading international energy, technology and life sciences law firm, is proud to announce that Partner Keri Brown has been awarded the Texas Bar Foundation’s “Terry Lee Grantham Memorial Award.”

The Terry Lee Grantham Memorial Award was endowed through the Texas Bar Foundation in 2014 as an enduring tribute to the life and work of Terry Lee Grantham in the practice of law. The award is given to an outstanding Texas lawyer who exemplifies the qualities of an accomplished, talented and dedicated practitioner, a servant of the profession and an advocate for those we serve.

As the firmwide Partner-in-Charge of Corporate Social Responsibility, Keri advances the firm’s commitment to its communities by allocating the firm’s people and financial resources to support communities, overseeing corporate citizenship, managing the firm’s pro bono efforts, and aligning the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts with those of its clients.

Keri serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Houston Volunteer Lawyers, where she launched its inaugural “Wipe Out the Waitlist” campaign in the fall of 2021. She is also a member of the Pro Bono Workshop of the State Bar of Texas.

Keri recently was recognized as the Houston Bar Foundation’s recipient of its award for Outstanding Contribution to HVL by a Pro Bono Coordinator. She also was named a 2021 “Woman Who Means Business” by the Houston Bar Journal, received a resolution in her honor from the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors in 2020, received the Texas’s Appleseed Pro Bono Leadership Award in 2019, and was honored with the State Bar of Texas’s Pro Bono Coordinator Award in 2018. In 2020, she was recognized by the Houston Chronicle as one of the “Heroes of the Front Line” in the battle against COVID-19. Her pro bono efforts also have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, ABA Journal, The American Lawyer, Houston Chronicle, Texas Bar Journal, Texas Lawbook, The Houston Lawyer, and elsewhere.

Keri will be recognized at the Texas Bar Foundation Annual Dinner held on June 10, 2022 at the Marriott Marquis in Houston.
