Martin Toulouse advises financial institutions, credit funds and corporate borrowers on financing matters. He focuses primarily on complex acquisition, project and structured financing transactions in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors.
Mr. Toulouse's extensive project finance experience includes a wide range of oil and gas, power generation and transmission, mining and infrastructure projects in the United States and Latin America. Over the course of his career, Mr. Toulouse has been involved in a number of projects that have been recognized as “Deals of the Year” by leading industry publications.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Toulouse served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles D. Gonthier of the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to joining Baker Botts, Mr. Toulouse practiced for a number of years with another international law firm in New York and Tokyo. He is a native speaker of French.
