Summary

Hannah Longley joined Baker Botts in October 2007. She has considerable experience in the energy sector and has advised on a wide range of upstream oil and gas projects, numerous LNG projects (including regasification terminals, liquefaction plants, floating LNG and associated financing and shipping arrangements) and downstream gas and infrastructure projects.

Ms. Longley has experience in negotiating, drafting and advising on complex commercial arrangements, including joint venture agreements (such as joint operating agreements, unitisation agreements and shareholder agreements), gas sales agreements, corporate and asset acquisitions and disposals, farm-in agreements, production sharing agreements, drilling and service contracts, FEED contracts, EPC contracts, LNG sale and purchase arrangements and LNG terminal use agreements.

Ms. Longley has recently worked on projects which cover interests in Brazil, Egypt, Ghana, Kurdistan, Nigeria, the Netherlands and the UK. Prior to joining Baker Botts, Ms. Longley worked as in-house counsel for BG Group plc. During her time at BG, Ms. Longley was seconded to the Egyptian LNG joint venture in Cairo and has also spent time seconded to an international law firm in London.
