The Palo Alto office of Baker Botts seeks a litigation associate with 2-5 years experience. Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California. Experience in litigation is required, with experience in patent litigation strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent (such as a mechanical engineering degree with strong background in computer science) is preferred, though not required. Candidates must be interested in developing a practice focused heavily on patent litigation. Must have excellent academic credentials.

The Role: To support the Global Projects partners in our London office and also support the firm's international and U.S. office network in a range of energy projects and transactional matters, with particular emphasis on upstream and midstream oil and gas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2:1 degree from a leading UK university or equivalent for non UK
- UK qualified lawyer, having passed all Law Society professional examinations at the first attempt
- Pre-qualification training at leading City law firm or experience at a reputable energy practice including in-house training at a major energy company

General Duties:

We are currently recruiting for a 0 - 7 year pqe Associate in London to support the finance team across the firm’s international and U.S. offices. The work involves acting on the lender and borrower side, project finance, pre-export finance and infrastructure finance transactions.
Essential Requirements:

- Solid, relevant experience at a Top 15 UK Firm or reputable finance practice.
