Legal Implications of the Kennedy Assassination

Speeches & Presentations

In this presentation (eligible for Continuing Legal Education credit), Baker Botts partner and former federal prosecutor Matt Jacobs analyzed the case from a legal perspective and used the tools we employ when hired by a client to investigate a matter. Matt assessed (i) who had motive and opportunity to kill the President; (ii) the credibility of the investigations conducted in the wake of the death of the government’s lone suspect; (iii) the handling (and mishandling) of evidence; (iv) Oswald’s intelligence connections and what mean; and (v) the forensic, physical, autopsy and testimonial evidence to draw conclusions about what likely happened in Dallas on that fateful day in American history. This presentation took place in the firm's Houston office.
