Lute Yang works on a range of intellectual property matters, focusing on patent litigation and prosecution, due diligence, opinion counseling, and post-grant review proceedings.
Lute has litigated cases in a wide range of technologies, including on-demand transportation solutions, smart-home devices, smart-health devices, telecommunications, interactive entertainment technologies, semiconductors, and advanced display technologies. She has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in technologies including autonomous transportation, VR/AR interface and functionality, machine learning, UX/UI design and functionality, and medical devices. She has also worked with emerging companies to build an IP strategy and portfolio, with the goal of identifying opportunities for patenting and further development.
Lute earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a concentration in Signals and Images, from Northwestern University in 2013. Prior to law school, Lute worked as a validation engineer where she advised pharmaceutical companies on compliance with FDA regulations.
