Lute Yang practices in all areas of intellectual property law. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation in a wide range of technologies, including augmented reality, virtual reality, machine learning, medical devices, consumer electronics, and telecommunications.
During law school, Lute participated in a year-long patent clinic, where she conducted freedom-to-operate analyses for emerging biotechnology companies, reviewed the intellectual property landscape, and advised on opportunities for patenting and further development.
Lute earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a concentration in Signals and Images, from Northwestern University in 2013. Prior to law school, Lute worked as a validation engineer where she advised pharmaceutical companies on compliance with FDA regulations.
