Jennifer Wu counsels clients across a wide range of corporate and securities matters. She represents reporting companies across the technology and energy industries and investment banking firms in public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities. In addition, she advises public and private companies on federal securities law compliance, special committee representation and ongoing corporate governance matters. She has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Ms. Wu serves as firmwide Deputy Chair of the Asian Pacific American Affinity Group, Liaison to the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Liaison to the Global Women's Forum initiative.
Before joining Baker Botts, Ms. Wu served as a law clerk to the Honorable Wallace B. Jefferson, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, and a judicial extern to the Honorable Jeffrey S. White of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in San Francisco. Ms. Wu was also a member of the University of Pennsylvania Supreme Court Clinic, collaborating with the team to be granted a favorable decision before the Supreme Court of the United States in Vartelas v. Holder. Ms. Wu earned her Certificate in Business Economics and Public Policy from The Wharton School.
In addition, Ms. Wu is dedicated to serving the Austin community through her active involvement with The Junior League of Austin and United Way for Greater Austin.
