Overview

Victoria A. Sheets is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on major civil, regulatory, and white collar cases. Victoria has represented both companies and individuals in government and internal investigations, white collar criminal defense, and in complex civil litigation and trials.

As a first chair trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor, Victoria has led multiple federal jury and bench trials to verdict. Victoria provides exceptional representation to her clients and is a skilled communicator and courtroom advocate. Victoria's courtroom experience in civil and criminal cases enables her to handle every aspect of a complex litigation matter for her clients.

Before joining the firm, Victoria served with distinction as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia, where she led numerous sensitive investigations and high-profile federal prosecutions. Her extensive experience working alongside federal law enforcement agencies and in grand juries as a federal prosecutor allows her to analyze investigations and enforcement litigation from all angles.

Victoria has represented individual and institutional clients across the financial sector, including private equity firms, broker-dealers, and investment banks, as well as clients in the cybersecurity, real estate, and healthcare industries. Victoria also acted as an in-house adviser to Morgan Stanley during multiple secondments to the Regulatory Reform Strategy and Regulatory Relations groups in New York.

Victoria received her B.A. from the University of Florida and J.D. from Duke University School of Law. She also holds a Masters in Philosophy from Duke University.

Victoria is a Senior Litigation Associate in Baker Botts L.L.P.'s Washington, D.C. office.
