Overview

Dr. Rich Russo is a Patent Agent in the New York office. His experience includes patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate analysis, and patentability assessment in several technology areas including materials science, nanotechnology, chemistry, and chemical engineering. His technical knowledge includes semiconductor devices and manufacturing, batteries, display technology, polymer coatings and adhesive materials.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Rich spent the past 15 years working for IP boutique firms, where he focused on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in semiconductor, battery, and medical device technologies.

During his graduate research, he studied the structure and photoexcitation properties of single-walled carbon nanotubes, which culminated in several peer-reviewed scientific publications and presentations at national meetings.
