Daniel Reinbott is a partner in our projects and energy practice who has been based in Singapore since 2006. He advises the full spectrum of clients from integrated energy companies, to project developers, host governments, commodity traders, off-takers and lenders in relation to major energy project developments, M&A and commodity marketing and trading.
Daniel is at the forefront of advising on the development of LNG regasification projects (including FSRUs) and Gas to Power projects across the Asia-Pacific region, advising on projects in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Pakistan, India, Korea, Kuwait and Chile. He has extensive experience advising on the development and financing of greenfield and brownfield liquefaction projects across the Asia Pacific region, particularly in Indonesia, where he has advised on all of the current operational LNG projects, and in Australia.
Daniel is very skilled on long term LNG sale and purchase agreements, [having advised on more than 60 long and mid-term LNG SPAs over the past 15 years], covering project and portfolio-based supply into markets across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and into Europe. He has played a key role in helping numerous companies across Asia Pacific secure new sources of LNG/natural gas and also regularly advises on LNG trading and marketing matters.
In the upstream oil & gas industry, Daniel has advised in relation to corporate and asset level acquisitions and disposals, PSC and other concession arrangements, E&P joint ventures, major gas project developments, natural gas sales and transportation arrangements, and unitisations across the Asia Pacific region, as well as in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. In the downstream sector, he advises on the development and financing of large scale petrochemical projects and refineries, covering all aspects of these major projects from implementation/concession agreements, joint venture documentation, design, construction and development agreements, feedstock supply and offtake, project structuring and bankability.
Daniel is also active advising on first of a kind carbon capture and CO2 liquefaction projects in Asia, the Middle East and Europe, as well as on green energy import projects in South East Asia.
