Tina Q. Nguyen is an accomplished trial lawyer with extensive experience handling high-stakes, complex commercial disputes. Her practice spans energy litigation, pension and ERISA matters, real estate, and other significant business controversies, including class action defense. She represents clients in disputes involving fraud, fiduciary obligations, contracts, and a range of business torts.

Tina is a formidable advocate in the courtroom. Over the past year, she first-chaired a complex partnership dispute involving more than $500 million in assets and secured a complete defense victory in arbitration; defended a renewable energy company in high-stakes tort and commercial disputes; and second-chaired a technical investment dispute in arbitration. Her clients include Fortune 100 oil and gas companies, leading renewable energy developers, and top-tier real estate firms.

Tina has been recognized by Texas Super Lawyers as a Super Lawyer (2025,2026), The Legal 500 U.S. as a "Next Generation Partner" (2025), and Chambers USA as "Up & Coming" (2022, 2023, 2024). She was named the "2026 Institute for Energy Law's Outstanding Young Energy Professional," which recognizes outstanding achievement and leadership in the energy industry. She was also named a finalist in the State of Texas' 2025 TMCP "Trailblazer of the Year" award.

In the energy sector, Tina is a go-to litigator for oil, gas, and renewable energy clients navigating complex disputes. She has deep experience in lease and power purchase agreements, royalty and pricing disputes, operations and maintenance agreements, joint operating agreements, joint ventures and partnerships, midstream agreements, and nuisance and other tort claims. Her successes include defeating putative class actions (Regmund v. Talisman), trying cases to defense verdicts (e.g., Rodriguez v. CenterPoint Energy), and arbitrating complicated disputes involving hundreds of oil and gas leases.

Tina also brings an exceptional record in pension and ERISA litigation, including class actions alleging breaches of fiduciary duties, statutory pension issues, and benefit claims. Her successes include defeating putative class actions (SSE v. Myers), obtaining precedent-setting appellate rulings (e.g., Schweitzer v. Phillips 66, HMEPS v. City of Houston), and winning summary judgments across multiple jurisdictions, as discussed below.
