Stan Lewis works on a range of intellectual property matters, focusing primarily on patent litigation and patent prosecution. Stan has experience working with a broad range of technologies including electrical and computer engineering, telecommunications, networking, photonics, software and the mechanical arts.
Stan has defended an industry leading network equipment manufacturer in multiple lawsuits against patent infringement claims directed to technologies including optical networking and ASIC design. Stan has asserted claims of patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation on behalf of a telecommunications equipment manufacturer against a competitor. For a manufacturing client, Stan has asserted claims of patent and trademark infringement, as well as trade secret misappropriation, against a generic-brand competitor.
Prior to law school, Stan worked in the telecommunications industry for fifteen years as a software engineer. Stan developed optical networking equipment for Cisco Systems, Inc. Also at Cisco, Stan designed and implemented network architectures for service providers and large enterprise customers.
