Jorge León is a Patent Agent in the Intellectual Property Practice of the firm's Houston office. His technical experience is in automotive engineering as well as general mechanical engineering. Mr. León assists in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications including due diligence and prosecution strategy with respect to mechanical technologies.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Mr. León was a Primary Patent Examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office for over 14 years. His work focused on prosecuting patent applications on behalf of the People under the United States Department of Commerce where he examined applications related to internal combustion engine valvetrains and exhaust systems.
