Overview

Jacqueline Lee is an Associate in the International Disputes team in our London office. Jacqueline’s practice covers a variety of complex international dispute resolution matters, including international arbitration and commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Jacqueline trained and qualified in the London office of a U.S. law firm, where her experience in complex international disputes covered the financial services, construction and telecommunications sectors.

Jacqueline is a native Cantonese speaker and is fluent in Mandarin.

Experience

  • Acted for a UAE investment group as claimant in a LCIA arbitration in excess of USD $200 million concerning a fraud claim arising out of a put option exercised under a shareholders’ agreement.*
  • Acted for a U.S. liquidating trust in an ICC arbitration in excess of USD $100 million concerning the provision and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.*
  • Acted for a German aircraft engine maintenance provider in an ICC arbitration relating to a USD $90 million dispute over the return of assets to a West Asian state-owned airline.*
  • Advised a U.S. multinational shipping and supply management chain company as defendant in a claim for damages arising from misuse of private information, breach of GDPR and breach of the Data Protection Act 2018.*
  • Acted for Fujitsu Services Limited in relation to a UK Statutory Public Inquiry arising out of the wrongful prosecution of hundreds of postal workers following the implementation of the Horizon IT system at Post Office Limited.*
  • Advised a U.S. financial services corporation on an investigation in response to a grand jury subpoena issued by the U.S. Department of Justice in respect of economic sanctions.*
