Morgan Laing is an Associate in the Intellectual Property practice of the firm's Dallas office. Morgan's practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including both patent litigation and patent prosecution. She brings a multidisciplinary perspective to IP strategy and analysis, drawing on her background in biomedical engineering, software systems, medical devices, and image processing.
Morgan earned her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where she served as a Staff Editor for the SMU Law Review and held a board position with the Intellectual Property Organization. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to law school, Morgan worked as a patent agent, drafting and prosecuting patent applications for technologies ranging from cloud computing and software platforms to wireless communication and biomedical innovations. She is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
