Overview

Alexander Kraszewski is an Associate in the firm's Antitrust and Competition practice, representing clients in a wide variety of antitrust matters including antitrust and other commercial litigation, as well as merger advocacy before the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice, complying with government information requests, conducting antitrust risk assessments, and advising clients on antitrust compliance.

Before joining Baker Botts, Alexander served as a law clerk to the Honorable Douglas H. Ginsburg of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

While in law school, Alexander was an intern for FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and was a research assistant for the Global Antitrust Institute.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Alexander worked as an associate at a boutique law firm specializing in antitrust-related matters.

Litigation

  • NCAA Antitrust Litigation – associate overseeing expert work in litigation team representing a nationwide putative class of Division I college athletes challenging the NCAA’s Four Seasons and Redshirt Rules under the Sherman Act (M.D. Tenn.). The litigation seeks to strike down NCAA eligibility restrictions that arbitrarily limit athletes’ ability to compete throughout their five-year eligibility period, alleging that these rules unlawfully restrain competition and suppress economic opportunities in the evolving market for collegiate athletics and name, image, and likeness (NIL) compensation.
  • In re Broilers Antitrust Litigation. – Defended Tyson Foods against price fixing allegations in sprawling antitrust litigation brought by consumer and institutional purchasers, with spin-off litigation by state attorneys general.
  • Costco Wholesale Corporation v. Tyson Foods, Inc. – Secured a total victory for Tyson in price fixing opt-out arbitration from In re Broilers.
  • No Spill LLC v. Scepter Canada Inc. – Successfully dismissed antitrust price fixing counterclaims in patent infringement suit.

  • Represented Ball Corporation, in its $5.6 Billion sale of Ball Aerospace & Technology Corp. to BAE Systems Inc.
  • Represented Sunrun Inc., in its $3.2 Billion acquisition of Vivint Solar
