Overview

Jonathan Huie advises private equity sponsors, multinational corporations and other institutional clients on high-stakes antitrust matters, with a focus on complex merger clearance, government investigations and strategic litigation. His practice spans a range of industries, including healthcare, technology, industrials and consumer products.

He advises clients on antitrust issues in transactions, including Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act filings and merger review strategy. He also supports clients in responding to regulatory inquiries, including Second Requests and Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

A significant portion of his practice focuses on defending clients in DOJ criminal cartel investigations. Jonathan also represents clients in complex antitrust litigation involving both antitrust agencies and private litigants.

Before joining Baker Botts, Jonathan was the inaugural Legal Fellow at the Association of Corporate Counsel. Jonathan received his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law, where he served as the Symposium Editor of the Business Law Review.

  • Counsel to a leading national grocer and a global food services provider in parallel multidistrict antitrust litigation involving price fixing in protein (Beef and Pork) markets
