Timothy Coxon represents corporate borrowers, financial institutions and private equity firms on a variety of secured and unsecured domestic and international financing transactions, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sector.
Mr. Coxon's experience includes project and infrastructure financings, syndicated leveraged and acquisition financings, private equity and M&A transactions, investment grade and secured corporate financings, letters of credit and working capital facilities, real estate financings and securitization and asset-based transactions. In the energy and infrastructure sector, Mr. Coxon has represented clients on project financings for renewable energy production, electricity transmission and pipelines, as well as corporate or leveraged financings for major energy corporations and private equity sponsors.
Mr. Coxon is dual qualified in both New York and in England and Wales. He began his legal career in the UK and worked for an international law firm in London in addition to undertaking a 10-month placement at an international investment bank. Immediately prior to joining Baker Botts, Mr. Coxon practiced for several years with an AmLaw top 10 law firm in New York.
