Dr. Linlin Cao is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her patent drafting and prosecution experience covers a wide variety of matters, focusing on materials science, nanotechnology and chemical arts. Linlin has technical knowledge in areas including nanomaterials, biomaterials, medical devices, semiconductors, display technology, battery, metallurgy, polymer, and coating.
Prior to joining baker Botts, Linlin was a Technical Advisor at a law firm in Washington, D.C., where she prepared and prosecuted patent applications in semiconductor, medical device and software.
During her time at Rice University, Linlin led and participated in several research projects related to nanomaterials. These research projects were collaborated across different departments at Rice University, including Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.
