Justin is a privacy and data governance lawyer with a rich background at the intersection of technology and global policy. He assists clients across a range of industries through compliance with privacy and cybersecurity frameworks, emphasizing the crafting of proactive data governance strategies that align with evolving standards across numerous jurisdictions.

While Justin helps clients understand their obligations under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU AI Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other digital regulations across the U.S. and EU, he is also an established thought leader on data protection in the Global South and has helped to shape digital policy dialogues and partnerships on the African continent and beyond. He is at the forefront of global artificial intelligence regulation, serving on the Advisory Committee for the Dubai International Financial Centre's Regulation 10, which focuses on personal data processing by autonomous and semi-autonomous systems.

Justin has worked extensively with international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the digital space, as well as startups, where he has driven operations and compliance strategies. He is also a former lecturer at Stanford Law School’s Gould Center for Conflict Resolution.

He has been recognized as a Schmidt Futures International Strategy Forum Fellow, a Salzburg-Cutler Fellow in International Law and Public Service, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional-Europe (CIPP-E), an Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), and a Certified Mediator in California.
