Jennifer Berger is a lawyer in the firm's New York office. Jen regularly represents U.S. and foreign companies and individuals in a wide range of criminal and regulatory investigations by federal and state authorities. She also represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters and handles internal investigations.
In her white-collar practice, Jen has represented clients in connection with state and federal investigations, enforcement efforts, and criminal prosecutions, regularly handling matters initiated by the DOJ, SEC, and the CFTC. She guides clients in responding to government inquiries, including complying with subpoenas and civil investigative demands, giving interviews and testimony, and through trial and sentencing. In her civil litigation practice, she has experience managing all stages of litigation, from drafting pleadings and coordinating discovery, to preparing witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
Jen clerked for the Honorable Chad F. Kenney of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before joining Baker Botts, she practiced at a prominent litigation boutique.
