Clients say she is "Outstanding when dealing in complex and highly specialized litigation."

Chambers USA 2023

Megan Berge partners with clients to develop and implement creative litigation and advocacy strategies in complex matters, often arising from federal and state environmental and consumer protection laws.

Last year, Megan and her team successfully challenged a first-of-its-kind state-wide program that capped the sale of natural gas to homes and businesses in Oregon [Nw. Nat. Gas Co. v. Env't Quality Comm'n, 329 Or. App. 648 (2023)] and obtained dismissal of a landmark “greenwashing” case against a utility company [Client Earth, et al. v. Washington Gas Light Company, Case No. 2022 CA 003323 B (D.C. Super. Ct. 2023)]. Currently, Megan represents power companies in pending challenges to EPA rules implementing the Clean Air Act's "good neighbor" provisions.

Megan also plays a unique role at Baker Botts leading three industry coalitions focused on identifying, tracking, and engaging on emerging environmental issues, especially in the climate, Clean Air Act, and sustainability arenas.

When not practicing law, Megan devotes her time to raising her three children with her spouse, an active-duty naval officer.
