Overview

Dominic Cruciani is a litigation attorney who represents clients in all phases of complex commercial matters in state and federal court, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums. Dominic's practice focuses on commercial disputes, including business torts, trade secret misappropriation, employment disputes, construction defects, and energy litigation involving oil & gas, solar, and wind energy. He also helps advise clients to navigate legal issues before the need for litigation arises. Dominic is dedicated to pro bono matters. He has been named a Pro Bono Champion in consecutive years. Dominic was appointed by a federal judge to second-chair a criminal jury trial and appeal - including oral argument to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals - for a defendant facing up to five consecutive life sentences.

Before joining Baker Botts, Dominic clerked for Judge Reed O'Connor and Judge Mark Pittman, both in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division. In college, Dominic was a four-year letterman on the Texas Longhorn football team as a Fullback, where he was a First-Team Academic All-Big 12 selection.

Dominic is also an active leader in the community. He currently serves as Chairman of the Liberty Leadership Council (Houston chapter), which promotes thoughtful dialogue on key policy issues, networking, and community engagement for young professionals. Dominic is also a thought leader in the technology space, and regularly gives presentations and authors articles on the intersection of law and artificial intelligence and other technological innovations.
