REMIT Forum 2021 - Plenary Session: '10 Years of REMIT - What is Next?'
Baker Botts is delighted to participate in the Plenary session titled '10 year of REMIT - What is Next?', hosted by the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators, on Monday 25 October from 14:00 - 17:00 CET.
The session will include a broad range of content, from keynotes to panel discussions, and is not dedicated to a specific REMIT mandate. The purpose is to celebrate 10 years of REMIT by looking back at what was achieved, where are the issues and looking forward - what should be done to improve the regulatory regime.
The session will discuss the following:
- Is REMIT fit for purpose? Are adjustment necessary with regards to balancing & re-dispatching; real – time and local flex markets?
- Should ACER monitor CO2 trading or/and a future Hydrogen wholesale market?
- REMIT fostering energy transition -> are we doing enough to support the European Green Deal?
