Lower-Carbon, Carbon-Neutral, and "Green" LNG
Since the first sales of carbon-neutral LNG were announced in 2019, the LNG industry has been exploring ways of transitioning to a lower-carbon future. Terms including “carbon-neutral,” “reduced carbon” and “green LNG” have been used, but without a common understanding of what these terms mean, the costs involved, or the impact on decarbonization efforts.
