Juliana Barbosa Pechincha is an associate in our New York office. Her practice focuses on international dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on international arbitration. Juliana has broad-based experience in business transactions, corporate investigations, international arbitration and litigation. She has handled high-profile matters involving multiple foreign laws and languages. She represents individuals and companies in industries as varied as agriculture, construction, energy, financial institutions, infrastructure and telecom.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Juliana was an associate in a leading Brazilian firm and taught Civil Procedure Law at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Juliana is trained in both the Common Law system (L.L.M. in the United States) and the Civil Law system (Brazilian Law degree). She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French and Italian.
