Bryan Parrish works on a range of intellectual property matters, focusing primarily on patent litigation and prosecution. Mr. Parrish has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications involving a variety of technologies including 3G and 4G/LTE telecommunications, financial services, oil and gas, software, and electronic circuitry. Mr. Parrish has litigated patents in federal district court, before the International Trade Commission, and in inter partes review proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Parrish's prosecution and litigation experience has also given Mr. Parrish familiarity with various standard setting organizations including JEDEC, the SD Association, and 3GPP.
During law school, Mr. Parrish was a judicial intern to the Honorable Amos Mazzant in the Eastern District of Texas and externed at the United States Patent & Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Parrish was also active in SMU's criminal justice clinic, which provides free legal counsel to members of the Dallas community.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Mr. Parrish worked as an electrical engineer in the power electronics industry. He has experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing, circuit design, and PCB testing.
