Sheena McCaffrey advises on employment, pension and benefit issues. She advises on employment terms and policies; restructuring and compliance issues; incentive and retention plans; and, the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants. Ms. McCaffrey provides advice in respect of UK pension law compliance and the management of pension issues to employers and trustees. She has extensive experience advising on the employment, benefits and pensions aspects of acquisitions and disposals in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Ms. McCaffrey has advised on the employment and pensions aspects of group re-organisations and insolvencies and has worked on a number of defined benefit pension plan closures and plan mergers. She advises companies on the Transfer of Undertakings regime and the impact on business sales and outsourcing arrangements. She regularly advises on the terms of employment contracts and policies including those of senior employees. She has worked with employers on sensitive employee investigations where claims of harassment and discrimination have been raised as well as advising on personnel policies and procedures.
In the restrictive covenant field she advises on drafting and enforcement and has worked on matters involving cross-border enforcement as well as ‘team move’ cases. Ms. McCaffrey also advises on data protection issues and compliance with the UK data protection regime.
