Kanwal's practice focuses on the representation of public and private entities in cross border transactions. Prior to joining Baker Botts, Kanwal worked in the Washington D.C. and London offices of an international law firm and a City-based law firm on various financings for LNG, energy and infrastructure projects.
Kanwal has represented commercial banks, institutional lenders, borrowers, sponsors, issuers and agents on multiple complex corporate financings, acquisition financings and project financings in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Africa with a focus on the energy sector.
