Emmie Heasley is an associate in both Baker Botts’ Private Clients Section of the Tax Department and in Baker Botts’ Corporate Department.
With respect to Ms. Heasley's role in Baker Botts' Private Clients Section, her practice focuses on estate planning and estate administration for extremely high net worth clients (most of whom have family owned businesses), with a particular focus on implementing strategies to save federal gift and estate taxes and provide for business succession. Ms. Heasley focuses on preparation of wills and trusts, lifetime transfers of assets, analysis of tax issues and the restructuring of family owned businesses.
With respect to Ms. Heasley's role in Baker Botts’ Corporate Department, she represents private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and other public and private companies in connection with corporate and transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing transactions, joint ventures, fund formations and general corporate matters.
